Karter Floyd secures a pin over Enka’s Isaiah Morrison.
Newton N.C.— The Fred T. Foard Tigers dominated their Tri Meet showing why they are the number one ranked dual team in NC. Their first dual started at 182lbs where Enka forfeited to Foard’s Evan Steiger. Joel Parrish (195) Colby Mace (220) and Dylan Smith (285) followed up with pins for the Tigers. At 106, George Coleman added decision over Enka’s Brock Morrison.
Foard Freshman Karter Floyd; who is considered to be one of the top Freshman in North Carolina came through with a first period pin over Alejandro Herrera at 113 lbs. At 120 lbs Enka’s Isaiah Morrison scored the first of the Jets nine points with a first period pin over Parker Johns.
Looking to get things back on track at 126lbs, the Tigers fielded defending state champion Brayden Meijia who secured a first period pin over Jesse Smith. Hunter Clark would add to it a 7-1 decision over Bodhi McCormick of Enka at 132lbs. Brock Carey, a state runner up posted a 12-0 major decision over Enka’s Noah Tocaben at 138lbs. Greyson Harris who had to battle from behind, inked out a 7-4 decision over Foard’s Connor Weaver putting the final score at 54-9. Fred T. Foard is now 4-0 this season with a 73 dual win streak.
